Over 300,000 people were left homeless and more than 6,000 people injured after the Beirut explosions on August 4th. Buildings have turned to rubble, hospitals are destroyed and patients have been left to suffer, all during a time when COVID-19 cases have surged.
The situation in hospitals is catastrophic and health care systems are stretched beyond their capacity. The people of Lebanon are in desperate need of help. August 26th – A shipment of seven skids of medicine was executed with our partner Anera, and distribution plans included more than 20 hospitals in Beirut, primary healthcare centers, dispensaries and clinics: including: Rafik Hariri University Hospital, Lebanese American University (LAU) Medical Center – Rizk Hospital, Lebanese American University Medical Centre, Hotel Dieu de France, Haifa Hospital.
September 4th – three skids of medicine was airlifted to in country partner Anera for distribution at Children’s Cancer Centre of Lebanon (CCCL) including electrolytes, antifungals, diuretics, chemotherapy medications and corticosteroids
